A Quiet Refuge for Traveling Families
Traveling with an infant or young child can be an overwhelming, vulnerable experience. Crowded gates, sudden delays, and public concourse noise leave mothers with few dignified options for feeding, nursing, or soothing their babies.
MomDoc Charities sponsors three Mother's Rooms at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. When the airport opened the first rooms in January 2017, MomDoc Charities provided fresh paint, art, and décor. Today the rooms are in the women's restrooms across from gates 3 and 4, at gate 5, and in Baggage Claim.

Traveler Practicalities and Care Navigator Notice
Formula, breast milk, and juice in quantities greater than 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters are allowed in carry-on baggage and do not need to fit within a quart-sized bag. TSA allows breast milk transportation whether your child is traveling with you or not. Ice packs and gel coolers are also permitted through screening checkpoints.
All three Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Mother's Rooms are fully ADA-compliant, offering level entry clearance for strollers, wheeled luggage, and mobility devices.

Every fixture in the Mother's Rooms was selected according to our trauma-informed care principles, creating a quiet barrier against concourse noise and stress.
Glider Rocking Chair
Comfortable cushioned glider designed for nursing, feeding, or soothing an infant in a quiet space.
Diaper Bag and Sibling Bench
A dedicated companion bench or ottoman keeping bags off the floor and giving traveling siblings a place to sit.
Sanitary Changing Table
Clean, secure changing surface complete with paper towel dispenser and hand sanitizer station.
Children's Book Library
Side table curated with colorful children's picture books to keep little ones engaged.
Comforting Decor and Art
MomDoc Charities provided fresh paint, art, and décor when the first rooms opened in 2017.
